By Bonl is my new favorite dish at the restaurant I work at. It is a simple, but complex, dish that is topped with a few other ingredients. The base is chicken, and it is then topped with a combination of fresh chilis, herbs, a bit of olive oil, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
Bonl is a dish that I grew up on and was first introduced to when I joined the Marines some years ago. I used to go to the mess hall and wait for the chefs to come by with their dishes. They would slice the chicken and then add the ingredients, all in one big messy pile. At the time, I was convinced that I had just been served chicken that had been fried in a deep-fat fryer. But the mess hall was a different story.
It was a small space with a long line, but a line that moved slowly through the kitchen. The cooks would set up their work tables in front of us, which were lined up with a wall of glass. The line was long and it was difficult to see what was happening at the time. I couldn’t understand why the cooks were taking so long to serve me my plate because I was going to ask every single person in line if they had any balsamic vinegar.
The cooks were probably just being nice to us because they knew that most of us were pretty new to the franchise, and they were curious about how we would work together. That is unless you were going to eat this bad boy. This is not the place for a high-calorie fast-food burger, folks. In fact, when I was offered it I nearly vomited on the spot. But then it hit me.
Bonl is basically a version of the Boneless Burger. The Boneless Burger is a meatless burger made of chicken breast that has been partially cooked in a non-stick frying pan before being turned into a patty. The Bonl on the other hand is made of ground beef.
The Boneless Burger is the very first thing you see when you first enter the kitchen of Bonl.
