By I had posted to our facebook page a few days ago that I had been invited to speak at a ugc net meeting. I was in my home state of Florida and on my way to my hotel room to pick up my car. The meeting was in the afternoon. I had called ahead to let them know I would be there but had not yet booked my hotel room. I checked my calendar and the meeting was Tuesday.
It’s been a little over a month since ugc organized a meeting in Orlando. That makes it about a month since ugc has announced the date for the next meeting. As of writing this, we have not yet heard back from the organizers.
The ugc Net has a long history. UGC launched in October 2006, and it was the brainchild of two of the founders, Rob Dominguez and Robert Johnson. UGC was originally a tech-focused organization that focused on gaming. What changed was when Rob and Robert decided to change their focus to business. They realized that in order to make it big, they needed to change the way that the group communicated.
We were going to announce the date for the next meeting at the end of quarter, but as of the writing of this article, we have not heard back. We are still optimistic that we will finally get to hold this meeting.
We will not hold a meeting in September. However, if we are to meet for the first time ever, we hope that the announcement will be made at the end of quarter.
Yeah, that’s right. We’re not holding a meeting in September.
We’ll be holding the meeting in December, but with the last quarter ending November 22nd, we felt it was best to wait until the 23rd to make an announcement. We want to let people in on the fact that the game will be out in time for Christmas. If you like this game, you’ll probably like this game too.
We have a lot of ideas and plans for the game, and its quite possible that we’ll be able to meet with you all in time for the game’s release on December 17th. We’ll let you know when we’re coming to your place or if you have any questions on the game, but we’ll also let you know if certain topics are off limits.
Also, we do have a surprise for you guys. You may have seen the two trailers we showed you that were made with only a few weeks of work. Well, we have a lot of stuff that we need to come up with to make it all come together. And the best thing about all of it is that it is all coming together so fast. We are working on it all the time, but we also have to be patient.
The problem with making the kinds of games you see on the internet is that you need to have a lot of time to work with. We can’t afford to rush this game and start working on it on the 13th hour. But we are working on it all the time, so we can’t wait.
